Specs and Techs: Aerial Cable Short Span

Description:

All Dielectric Self Supporting (ADSS) cables are used aerially installed along poles and may also be installed along power lines. In this cable, optical fibres and water-blocking gel is placed inside buffer tubes. The core is constructed by stranding the buffer tubes around FRP rod, the central strength member. Water swellable yarn is provided over the FRP Rod and the core is wrapped in water swellable tape over which aramid yarn is applied. This core is then covered with a black HDPE jacket. Ripcords are provided under the jacket for ease of entry.

Applications:

  • Small diameter, light weight, makes it easy for installation.
  • Superior stability performance.
  • Working temperature: -20°C~+70°C.
  • 25-year life expectancy.
  • Fibres in full compliance with ITU-T.
